At the official foreign exchange market on Wednesday, the naira continued to rise against the dollar.
According to figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the value of the Naira increased from N1,419.07 on Tuesday to N1,418.26 on Wednesday.
For a daily basis, the uptrend for Wednesday indicates a minor N0.80 gain against the dollar.
On the illicit market, the Naira was still at N1,480 to the dollar on Wednesday, the same amount as the day before.
As of January 6, 2026, Nigeria’s foreign reserves had increased to $45.62 billion.
Remember that the Naira gained N10.24 against the dollar on Tuesday.
