In a show of unity and solidarity, stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State have declared their support for Governor Uba Sani, amid the ongoing political tension between him and his predecessor, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai.
At the Kaduna State APC Executive Committee meeting held yesterday, party chieftains passed a vote of confidence on the governor, reaffirming their trust in his leadership.
The meeting was attended by top party officials, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, APC chairman in Kaduna State, Air Commodore Emmanuel Jekada (rtd), and other notable figures.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Speaker, Musa Krishi, the APC Deputy Vice Chairman, North West, Hon. Datti Garba Muhammad, moved a motion for a vote of confidence on Sani, which was unanimously endorsed by the party leaders.
Speaker Abbas expressed optimism about the party’s future in Kaduna, assuring that there would be no rift between him and Sani until the end of the governor’s tenure. He urged Sani to maintain their good relationship, which he believes will bring more development and stability to the state.
Governor Sani applauded the Speaker for his achievements and assured party members that his government would work closely with Abbas to carry everyone along.
The meeting also discussed the ongoing constitution amendment by the National Assembly, with the Speaker encouraging citizens to study the constitution and identify areas for review.
